\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAkeance’s offer concerns all the company’s management professions. As such, Information Systems Departments are one of those many businesses.
They are our main counterparts for any support in terms of governance of the IT function in the broadest sense of the term, from the flattening of applications mapping to evolution schemes. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThere have been many changes in information systems in recent years, but they can be summarized into three key directions.\nData has taken on a new importance through both big data and its appropriation by professions such as marketing, sales or even finance.
A second major direction of information systems is the greater capacity of solutions to be integrated, i.e. easier interfacing and more open systems.
Finally, the porous nature of the operational businesses with the teams dedicated to information systems makes the respective perimeters more fluid.
Missions entrusted to Akeance Consulting are often based on these concerns. Some missions consist of reviewing a map of the information system to define a target that ensures coherence and alignment with the global strategy.
These missions are similar to masterplan issues when it is necessary to define the trajectory and the means necessary to reach the target. \nOther missions are more strictly related to corporate governance through a reconfiguration of the modus operandi of project management, budgets, and the sharing of responsibilities and hierarchies within the company with regarding decisions related to information systems.\nFurthermore other missions are intended to set up a monitoring system for all works related to the information system, whether it involves projects to implement or change a solutions, integrate social networks, or even application maintenance operations, support for video-telephony, or outsourcing to the Cloud.

The scope of what is commonly known as information systems is expanding. More and more, “Business” departments, particularly the marketing and sales departments, have their own databases, for example.
The same business departments are themselves running social networks as marketing channels or distribution channels.
Not to mention tablets and other devices that extend information systems far beyond the enterprise.
All of this is thanks to technological developments: smartphones, big data, and artificial intelligence.
But these evolutions imply and embark security risks at a first level as well as risks of dysfunction and dissatisfactions due to a very \/ too (?) fragmented “information system” function. Security issues are now related to governance issues. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A misunderstanding between project management and information systems governance<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe increasing scope of information systems within a company sometimes leads to a confusion that consists in allowing information systems departments to handle business projects.
Most of the time, this is not effective. It should be remembered that it is the business “client” who manages his project. \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
